LILPROG's Second Low Risk High Reward O8 BAP
Welcome to my Bap #6, I recently finished my
Bap #5 with a 140% ROI, and closed out most of my stakes when PayTru quit serving paypal. Since then I have found a new method for deposits and withdrawls, so I am ready to jump back on the band wagon.
The Plan:
This bap will follow a very unique structure. The bankroll is broken down into a sng kitty, a cash kitty, and a bank. The bank is basically a deposit box. Any money that goes into the bank cannot be touched and is finalized money towards the final bankroll. The other 2 kitties are whats used to build the final bankroll.
SNG Kitty:
The SNG kitty is basically an MTT bankroll with a twist. Anytime the SNG kitty goes below $1500, SNGs are played to build it over $1500. MTTs are only played with the $$ above $1500, thus making the MTTs like free rolls and keeping the loss risk VERY low. Any time we cash in an MTT, the buyin goes back to the kitty, and the remaining profits for the mtt go to the bank where they cant be touched are used in any way. This means that once the bank hits $2400, the BAP is guarenteed to break even no matter what happens.
Heres an example. We play a $22 mtt and cash for $322. $22 would go back to the kitty for the cash, and then $300 would be locked into the bank. if we dont cash in that $22, then the kitty loses $22 and the bank is unaffected.
The SNG kitty will start at $2000 so that we can get off to a quicker start on building the bank. The only MTTs that can be played are $55 and less until we reach at least $2400 in the bank. At that point if there is enough in the kitty above 1500, $109s or $215s can be played.
The Cash Kitty
This time around Im adding a cash kitty in. The cash kitty will be $400 and will start at 2/4 Limit Omaha. If at anytime the cash kitty gets down to $200 we move down to 1/2(100 big blind rule). whenever the cash kitty is above the $400, and we have a winning session, half will go to the bank and half will go to building the cash kitty. So say we start out with a $90 winning session. $45 goes to the bank, and the cash kitty goes to $445. The next session we lose $15. The kitty goes down to $430 nothing to the bank. The next session we win $110. $55 would go to the bank, and 55 stays with the cash kitty bringing the cash kitty up to $485.
If the cash kitty reaches $800(which means there is at least $400 in the bank from the cash kitty), then we can move up to 3/6 as long as we stay above $600 in the cash kitty(100 BB rule). If we get the cash kitty to $1500(which means there is at least 1100$ in the bank from the cash kitty), then we can move up to 5/10 as long as the cash kitty stays above $1000.
Any time the cash kitty is below $400, all winnings go to getting the cash kitty up to $400, and then anything above that will be divided between kitty and bank.
Timeframe -
The time frame for this bap is to run for 3-4 weeks and see where we are at, to consider a continued run. Im not against sending stakeback back once we get the bank above $2400, or sending profits as we go beyond that, as long as we can all agree to confirm transfers in the rail thread so there is no discrepancy. My goal for this would be to hit about $6000-$8000 by baps end.
Rail Thread:
I have backed off keeping really comprehensive information on rail threads as time as gone on. Mainly because I want to keep my focus on my play and not trying to copy every last hand history to the rail thread. I update my rails very promptly after tourneys, sngs, and cash sessions keeping it extremely up to date. Every tourney and SNG has the id # posted, so that at any time i can request a total hand history from stars that can be made available to you. Cash games will have a first hand and last hand posted to help substantiate the profit made during these games.
Who is lilprog?
While I am newer to neverbeg.com, I am not new to poker. I have been playing for 7 years now, including 2 stents of full time poker(as my main source of income). Currently I split my time between poker and 2 businesses that I own. Asides from playing poker I am also a poker instructor at pokerfox.net, where I teach about MTTs, Bankroll management, and Omaha 8/b.
Why pick me?
I recently completed my
BAP #5 which was an Omaha 8b Heeb BAP, with a 140% ROI. I have played omaha 8b for 5 years now, and when I was playing full time poker I spent several months at the 2/4 - 5/10 limit levels, and the .10/.25 to 1/2 PL levels. I have also cashed in some big O8 tourneys including a win in a $109 O8 tourney last year.
I also have solid stats in PLO8 sngs. Here is a screenshot for my $33s over the last 3 months:
My style of O8 is one of a TAG style that punishes weaker players, especially that chase lows only. While I do tend to accumulate chips quickly I rarely risk my entire stack which allows me to grow my BR without risking entire buy ins.
Recent rollings
I know people are always concerned about rollings. This will be my sixth bap, I have been very prompt to return all bap funds prior, and have taken many stakes as well. I dont like having alot of my own personal money online because I am very nervous about a netteller type situation happening in the future, thus being staked is a very valuable assett to me and I dont want to lose that. Rolling with 3 grand would easily cost me tens of thousands of potential dollars over the course of the year. I am also very well respected as an instructor at poker fox, and a contributing writer at pocket fives, and I have a prominent business at simsportsworld.com. All of which I would like to maintain.
I plan to start this bap as soon as we sell out, which I don't expect to take too long. I am not heading out of town for the holidays, so there will be no delays due to christmas / new years.
If you have any questions feel free to PM me.
Thanks!
