Live Tourney Play
BR=$6000
Based on the current BR (assuming it sells out), my intention is to play 3-5 tournaments with buy-ins in the $300 range (most tourneys at that level come to $340 including fee). The remainder of the events I play will be buy-ins ranging from $65 through $250. Any time the BR is above the starting amount, I will be allowed to play additional tourneys in the $300 range (over and above the initial 3-5 such events mentioned above).
BR=>$8500 I will be allowed to play one $500 Tourney
BR=>$12,000 I will be allowed to play either a $1000K event or $1500 WSOP event
If the BR is up $2500 or more, I will be allowed to play one tourney in the $500 range. If the BR doubles I will be allowed to play one $1500 WSOP event or one $1k buy-in event at another casino (several major casinos have $1k grand finale events with very nice prize pools).
All of the major casinos host their own series of tournaments during the WSOP and there are a ton of opportunities to find very soft tourneys with great payouts. Binions and Golden Nugget had some of the best tourneys and several PTP’ers had very good scores there. The Venetian and Caesar’s each held their own deep stack tourney series. The Rio also has two nightly tournaments that have very soft fields and a solid payout structure. All of these events (and other events like them) and satellites to these events will be covered by this BAP.
Online Tournament and SNG Play
All my online action will be covered in this BAP
using a fairly conservative BR rule I will max my MTT buy-in at $55, rubix at $22 and rebuys at $11
If, at the end of the 6 week period, the BR is below starting I will grind 45 and 90 mans until my fingers bleed. I will not end this BAP down.
If the BR doubles I will be allowed to play up to $109 buy-ins
Live Cash Games
Live cash games are without a doubt what I’m best at and including them should be an excellent variance reducer for this BAP. I will play 1/2 and 1/3 NLH cash games on this BAP as well as limit cash games at the 2/4 through 6/12 level. If the BR is up at least $3k I will add in 2/5 NL and limit games up to 10/20.
GENERAL OUTLINE OF PLAN
My intention is for this BAP to cover ALL of my poker play (online and live, cash and mtts and sngs) from May 28th through July 5th. The details of what I will be playing can be found above. However, I will not be listing any specific tourneys or events that I will play. I am instead giving guidelines specifying what buy-ins/events/games I am allowed to play.
My plan is to play as much live poker as I can this summer while in Vegas. I will be playing poker almost every single day that I am in Vegas. Based on my current schedule, I expect to get at least 12-15 days worth of live play in for this BAP. When I am not in Vegas I will keep a normal grind of online play every day.
TAXES
On any win up to $30,000 I will withhold 25% for taxes. On any win higher than that, I will work with Ken to give backers the option to give personal information and get their money pretax.
RAIL
Given the sheer number of PTP’ers that will be in Vegas this summer, it's safe to assume that we will be able to keep very accurate and up-to-date rails for all major events played by our group. Additionally, I know several PTP members that have offered to receive and post text messages from me to ensure backers know exactly where things stand as often as possible.
EXPENSES
Because I have a place to stay free of charge for the summer, no expenses will be withheld from this BAP.
