Default rivertapped (bement), 180-man $22 SNG, need $22

I'm looking for a $22 stake to a Pokerstars 180-man SNG.

Staker will get 100% of my winning if I'm 10th thru 18th ($43.20).

If I make the final table, staker will get stakeback and 50% of my winnings. (1st place pays $1080 so stakeback and half of winnings would be $551)

I will enter the tourney as soon as I receive transfer to my Pokerstars account. My ID is rivertapped (bement).

I'm a pretty solid player having won this event twice and cashing in several others. I've gone deep several times in July and August:

Total Winnings: $5,402
Total Final Tables: 6

Date Tournament/Event Place Entrants Winnings
08/20/2006 Hold'em NL $5 91 1,777 $13
08/08/2006 Hold'em NL $5+Rebuys 106 1,710 $54
08/04/2006 Hold'em NL $10+Rebuys 3 928 $1,849
07/15/2006 Hold'em NL $50 50 499 $75
07/14/2006 Hold'em NL $150 16 437 $721
07/11/2006 Hold'em NL $50 7 66 $182
07/08/2006 Hold'em NL $20 5 685 $754
07/07/2006 Hold'em NL $50 4 285 $1,140

My sharkscope figures are a bit skewed from letting a deep pocketed friend play on my account. He's lost over $2000, mostly in $100, $200, and $500 heads-up play. (yea, I know, all our stats are "skewed" by donkey friends...lol)

My thepoker.db stats do not include many satellites and Double Shoot Out wins, including at least three $16 DBL.S.O. $650 wins and multiple $215 sat. winners.

They do include over $5300 in cashes with these 6 final table appearances:

3rd of 928 in $10+R tourney for a $1849 cash

4th of 653 in $5 tourney for a $225 cash

4th of 285 in $50 tourney for a $1140 cash

5th of 685 in $20 tourney for a $754 cash

7th of 66 in $50 tourney for a $182 cash

8th of 1232 in $1 tourney for a $25 cash

Thanks for you consideration,

rivertapped.

ps to neverbeg: I've transfered $2 to you via Pokerstars. I'm new to the site, so if I've done anything improperly, let me know. Thanks.

Default 'til tomorrow

Well, it's past midnight here and I'm going to stop monitoring my post 'til tomorrow.

I realize this may be a bit more than someone wants to stake, especially with me being a newbie to this site, but the offer stands.

Transfer $22 to my Pokerstars and I'll play tomorrow.

Thanks,

rivertapped(bement)

ps: Played two 9-man $50+$5 sng's while monitoring my post this afternoon and got a 1st and a 3rd. $110 in, $315 out. Get me while I'm hot!

Well, your math is a little screwed up. I put in $110 and took out $315 which means I "won" $205.

There's also a hint of doubt in your tone as to whether I actually won at all. This can easily be verified. Look at the time I originally posted the ad and then go to sharkscope and see what I did immediately afterwards. I didn't want to get involved in a large MTT, in case someone quickly offered a stake, so I played a couple of 9-man SNGs.

As to wanting a stake. I know there are a lot of "down on their luck" broke players seeking a stake, but there are also some winning players who gladly accept stakes.

Why, you ask, would a winning player want a stake? Bankroll protection is one reason. Sure, my bankroll is adequate enough to pay my own way into a 180-man $22 tourney, but then I am taking 100% of the risk to get 100% of the winnings. I'm willing to take a 100% backer, letting them take all the risk, and accept 50% of the winnings. Basically, a freeroll for myself.

Ask yourself who you would rather back. An iffy player who's gone broke because of a recent bad streak (or demonic bots, or faulty RNG's, or ultra-lucky donks, etc) and just "knows" he'll turn it around with one more 45-man $4 tourney, or a proven winning player looking for a bankroll protecting freeroll.

That's a "no-brainer" to me. Let's see.... should I pay Joe Blow's way into the Main Event of the WSOP because he's broke and can't afford the 10G's, or pay Phil Ivey's way, even though his bankroll can handle a game with Big Blinds of 10G's? Hmmmmm?
