How-to: Uploading Images
Feel free to add your own image tips in this thread
From Netakunda
re: Uploading signature images (stat pictures, etc)
Well, as some of you know, a lot of players would like to upload images, like their stats from SS (SharkScope etc). Or just silly (and not silly, tho usually silly around here) pictures lol.
So, made this to make it easier on everyone who does, hope it's not too detailed lol, made it that way so I would be as clear as possible.
Ok, first, go to the image you want and click "Print Screen" (the button on the second section from the right of the keyboard, the upper key, the left one of the three). Then open the program "Paint" and click "Paste". Now, use the lined square on the left to mark the area you want, now copy that and paste it into a new window of Paint. Now click on the background to be able to minimize the white part of Paint there to the limits of your image, so it won't get in there as well. Now save it. And now, go to http://www.imageshack.us/ enter it in the box there and click to upload without resizing if it's stats, otherwise you can resize it to whatever size available there.
Now, a page with a lot of addresses will appear (might take a few minutes), copy the last one on that page, at the bottom.
Now go to here, and in ur post or profile, click "Insert Image" and paste that address there.

I assume you have used the link for the use in forums pics?
You have to use the link directly to the image if you want a big picture.

Taking a screen shot on a Mac!
Just to help out anyone that is using a Mac, here is how you take a screen shot:
- Go to Applications.
- Go to Utilities.
- Go to Grab.
- In the top toolbar click on Capture, Here you can choose either:
- Selection (lets you create a box that captures only what you want).
- Window (lets you choose exactly which window you what).
- Screen (takes a shot of the entire screen).
- Timed Screen (takes a shot of the entire screen at a certain time).
- Click on File.
- Click on Save As.
- Create a name for you picture.
- Upload the picture to Image Shack.
- Click to upload without resizing if it's stats, otherwise you can resize it to whatever size available there.
- A page with a lot of addresses will appear (might take a few minutes), copy the last one on that page, at the bottom.
- Go to your post or profile, click "Insert Image" and paste that address there.

I can't get rid of the white part of the image. I'm clicking on the background like I'm supposed to. I've been trying different things for more than an hour and it just won't go away.

Have you managed to figure it out on your own yet?

As said on the thread, U should do as follow:
Once it's on Paint, click on the gray background there.
Now You can minimize the white part, so just use the arrow on the right-down corner once the image is on the top left corner.
Lemme know if U still got problems.

I at least got the stats bigger, but they still have the white area. When I click the gray area, is it supposed to minimize automatically, or do I need to do something else after clicking that area?

When you click on the grey area, take your mouse down to the bottom right of the white. Your cursor will change to a diagonal arrow that you can then click and drag up to the picture to eliminate the extra white in the pic. Then you can save and go through the rest of the steps!
