What do you do with open stakes?

I have a few bad investments with horses that have already received DNS*, but very likely nothing will happen with these stakes in a long while

Do you just wait? How long?
And afterwards? Ask to have the stake removed? Or keep it open just in case the horse returns?

you can post in Fix my Bap/Stake forum to have them removed and get rewarded your points. The system has been updated to account for this and if the horse were to return you will receive you money back before they can regain access to the site
