question about horses
I staked a guy for $33 and I see him playing in freerolls and this annoys me. I give him a decent stake and he's wasting his time with freerolls instead of getting my stake done. Am I wrong in being irked/irritated?

Also, don't forget that a player just might not feel like playing your stake. Nothing worse than a horse running with a bad attitude or bad feeling for whatever reason is my opinion. (hope you get what I mean because my english is not good enough to find the right expressions here)

Nope, I didn't specify.
Maybe it's the horses way of avoiding tilt or something? Just seems strange to me to play a huge field of 2700 people for a small payout when there's a stake he's been given to play.

I don't see a problem as long it's a different game. Like if he's staked for 9 mans and he's playing a 180 or something to change the pace up. I'm done this to try to change it up so it's not the same 9 mans over and over. But if it's for 5 buck 9 mans and he's playing a 10 buck 9 man I wouldn't like to see that.
As long as he's playing your stake and not going days on end with no play I don't think there should be a problem.

You should only want a horse playing a game when they are ready.
Things to remember about your horse:
1.)They want to do good so they can play higher
2.)They are playing under-rolled in most heebs and baps I see, especially for stakes. 99% of the BAP's I see aren't even close to being properly rolled, and they are considered the safest.
3.)Time-maybe there just isn't time for your game. I am a cash game player, and though under-rolled I still play it. There's a big difference time wise between me 4 tabling 50NL on my own dime for 20minutes or two hourse compared to a 6 hour session of 12-tabling 4.40s on a heeb.
If you trust a player to stake them, trust them all the way. This site isn't just about staking, its also about people making LOT's of good decisions between the $ transfers so you make money.

if you are curious i doubt it hurts to ask either but id approach them in an uncritical way but letting them know that you happened to check on them to see how they were doing and were curious why they were playing a freeroll instead of the stake
if its a big stake for the player they might be putting alot of pressure on themselves to bring their a game, play confidently, or even feel like theyre running good before they begin to try to ensure the best results possible
diferent people react to playing others money in diferent ways. at the very least asking them about it in a non threatening way might get you a better idea of the horses psychology
