Default Who would be the best for a $50 heeb?

I am looking to stake out 50$ to someone who can definately heeb it up, looking to get it to around 300$. How exactly will this work? Do I give them 50$, they heeb it to 300$, I get 150$ + 50$ stake back and they get 100$? If this is how it works, I am looking for someone who is very good with this and was wondering who you guys thought is.

thanks,
-zurc3

sharkscope is your friend.

who you want for it depends on how you want it heebed, MTT's, SnG's, Cash games, all take different skills, and therefore ppl are good at different things. also, i would recommend having it heebed to 150 first, taking your profits, and then firing out another heeb.

50/50 sb (which would be a standard stake) on a $50 up to $300 heeb would be $50 stake + $250 profit/2 = $175 for you, $125 for your horse.

there are more than enough ppl capable of doing that on this site, but i personally would make it smaller and stake more often. you will find your fave horses in time =)

I've done a few stakes already, never profited anything off of any of them... brick walls... And they all had very good SS stats... so I personally think SharkScope really isnt the means of finding a good horse. I think I would take personal references from known people here on NeverBeg, before going by SS stats again...

Default My .02 cents

Yep, there are different ways to heeb, and they all come with different levels of risk/reward. An MTT heeb is the most risky, but could give you the largest payout. If someone does well in a $5MTT, they could actually hit your $300 mark in one tourney. That's the attempt at the quick bucks, but it comes with the most risk. The SNG approach is less risky than the MTT, but again, using the 10-11% rule (breaking it a little), they would be able to play $5.50SNG's. That gives them enough money for a total of 9 $5.50SNG's. But again, if they are a good horse, they should be able to get to $150.00 well enough. The last approach is the cash/ring game approach, and there is a high risk and low risk approach to cash games as well. NL is a higher risk, but if they never have more than 10% in play, it's not that risky. So, if someone set down at a NL table with $5.00, that would satisfy the 10% rule. Never allow someone to have the entire amount in play at one time. That's just asking for a loss.
I guess where I'm going is that you need to find a horse that is going to treat your $50 like their own $50. Too many horses are going to see that $50 as a way to get a quick return, and if they blow it, it's not that bad, because they can go back and and get another stake.
I also agree that going to $300 is too high of a number on one heeb. For a $50 heeb, I would think that $150 is a good number. Another option would be to give out five $10 heebs, and have each of them grind it up to $40. And, then offer a round two of $20 to $80 for those that successfully satisfy round one. Now, it's still difficult to find that many horses that you trust with your money, but it spreads the risk over 5 horses instead of all in 1. Best case scenario, all 5 horses hit the mark, and your $50 turns into $125. Then, you can stake back out $20 to each of them. Now, the reason to do this would be to find horses that can make money for you, and build up trust, and then grow your stakes along with their returns. Then you can build a stable of horses you count on.
Last thing might be that you still offer up 5 $10 stakes, but add some risk into it. Give out 1 MTT heeb ($1.10 and $2.20 only), 2 SNG heebs, and 2 cash heebs (1 NL and 1 Limit). Just some thoughts.
Good luck with this endeavor. I know there are several other ways of doing it, but I always prefer the lowest risk even if it takes a little longer to hit the mark. But, I also don't make a ton of money on stakes, but I am in the black for stakes given out :-).
The quick buck is always attractive. It only takes one FT at a 2.20 or even a 3.30 to get you like $200, and that always seems exciting. But, that doesn't happen every time.
I'm on AIM most of the day, and if you wanna chat about it, let me know.

then, maybe you're doing something suboptimally? stake out a sng series or heebs with at least 10 buyins, and you should at least break even. my favourite horses are all very stable, and i am making more profit than simply me playing alone.

i found them with a few series' of 3.40's, and i trust them to play anything up to $11's atm, with $22's being tested soon
