Default How to stop getting scammed.

I would like to know if people impose rules such as, horse must have minimum 100 staker points etc.

I've been scammed of $16 and only been here 1 day! I made $6 in stakes yesterday but I'm still down.
Any tips?

If you're not sure about a player, stake them in something small first, if they play well and don't roll you, go for something bigger.

Staker points are also a good indicator, as it shows they're willing to give to the community.

yea chur, unless the have a few playa points it means they are unprovin to paying someone back (or even running at all) so if u staking sum1 thats a real noob just do wat babylondonks said and give them a much smaller stake.
people that have points mean they have payed back when they ran.
P.S just cos sum1 is a noob to the site doesnt mean they dont have a poker game, pick the right noob and could be a goldfield.

hola me on msn if any questions k

also just because someone has 1000 player or staker points doesnt mean they wont roll you for $200 in a BAP. And then still be on aim, but never respond to your IMs. Thanks for that FLBONACCL.

You can now look up a horse's staking history. (Staking Links - Search Stakes)

I like to see a guy who has played a few stakes, won a few, and has the vast majority of their stakes listed as "Stake has been completed". Be wary if they have more than a couple where they say "Stake is in progress". You can also pull up the original staking post and see what's being said there. I'll also try to find rail threads to see if the horse leaves the kind of rail that I like to see, or if they dog it.

You will get rolled - it's a fact of life - but if you are careful you can minimize this. I was rolled a couple of times, was down about $40 on NB, but then finally connected with a horse that took a $2 stake and turned it into $70 for me. I then restaked him, and he turned an additional $25 in profit for me.

You can add to your BR by staking, but you still have ups and downs just like if you are sitting at the table yourself. The important thing is to use the tools available to you to make good decisions - just like at the table.

Good luck -

Spike

There is always an element of risk.

I have a system. The only 4 questions you will ever need :-

1) Do you live with your mum?
2) Do you deliver newspapers?
3) Is you chat banned anywhere?
4) How many tourneys have you played under the ID you have supplied me with?

If you get 3 yeses and a number less than 200, then you WILL get rolled 77 out of 100 times.
