Staking Etiquette
So, I know we all (well, most of us, non-pros at least) have lives.. If you take a small heeb stake, and you play for at least a few (4-5) hours in a day, with the heeb deadline 24 hours from the time the stake was handed out... Is it right for a staker to ask for the rest of the BR (whatever it might be) back if they're unhappy you have to spend a couple hours away from their stake and poker in general? That's my situation right now. Took a stake this morning, $1 to $5. Been doing well, lasted longer than the guy's other horses, but just can't complete it before I head home for the weekend (couple hour bus ride). He asks for stake back. Is this the normal etiquette for heebs? He complains that he wants the stake done NOW, even though I've been doing it for a few hours today already. I'm not for speed, but quality. So, what should have been done? (BR was returned)

If there was no improvement, I ship all back, I'm assuming. That's just stupid, that you can't have a life other than someone's heeb though. Talk about a jerk.

And if no terms are mentioned, and the stake's deadline is set for 24 hours? No contract specifying how long I could be away from the stake.

ok, my opinion on this, as a staker.
Stakers can do what they want, if they want $$ back give them the $$ back, they have done you a favour staking you, at the end of the day you want the stake.
Piss of a staker, and you risk not getting future stakes.

alright here's my take on the situation:
If a staker wants their money back, then it's their money and you should comply to their requests. As a staker, I try not to do this unless its an extreme circumstance, though(which, i cant really think of one).

Really all this is a flame post if you think about it.
ANYONE can now view who he's referring to by this post and consequently he already screwed himself by calling the dude a jerk for any chance of future stakes from that given person.
Anyone who reads this as well will see his attitude/availability issues and also might consider it a downside to him being staked.
Staker's always right just like the customer is always right in job lingo...
So, we all know that part was taken care of, but this post is basically showing the staker as a jerk and the poster as a rash, unwilling to comply with type stakee.......
GG both.
