Read This Stakers (stakers Insurance)
Hey I've got a stakers discussion for you guys. I'm not a staker but this involves you guys obviously. What's my take on being staked.... well I want to make money.... but I also want you to make money... if the majority of my tourneys are being staked I am not risking money... I come out ahead most of the time but on 1 given MTT I may not come out ahead due to variances or suckouts or whatever have you (I mean if u get all in AA to KK preflop ur 80/20 and that's great but that means u lose 1/5 tournaments based on this alone! likewise you get all in dominating someone who has a flush draw on the flop ur maybe a 65/35 depending on the exact situation).
Anyway my point is as follows. I want u guys to make money as much as I want to. In the long run we both come out ahead but to account for short term variances I offer stake security. This means if I lose a stake for u then I record that in my records. If I win stakes for u in the future you will be paid what I owe u back. Now u are still taking the risk, but if I am a long-term winning player there is much less risk for you because you have this security. This is better for me too, because I don't feel bad if I lose one for you and I know in the future I can rectify it. Here's the bottom line.... I don't lose money on pstars, and neither do my stakers.

I would, but I already took it for someone. I pay back as soon as I can but sometimes that requires subsequent stakes . The main point is that your money isn't lost its just on hold till I can make it for you later haha. Thanks for the post, in the future please send special stake requests to my PM. or post private stakes on the make a deal forum.

tbh, as a staker you calculate with variance anyway. the difference is, that you can have a higher percentage of your BR working at any given time, due to multiple horses. simply stake winning players, and you should be winning most of the time. stake them in their best disciplines, stake in a series. the more diversified your cash is, the less is the risk of losing it all, and the higher is the chan ce of coming out with a steady profit.
---> my best insurance is having multiple pwning players running for me. potential paying back from winnings that haven't been won yet do not interest me at all, and would not be a criteria i would value particularly while chosing horses.

That's true and a good post. my point is that I want ppl to feel comfortable staking me. Well I am just starting out... I lose one or two even if I place in a couple others they aren't all for the same ppl. So for the staker its better to get these multiple deals so that you come out on that particular stake and accurately represent your staking potential.

I don't know if you are overlooking this problem or not, but if you are a winning horse but have lost the last 3 or 4 for a certain staker and get staked in another multi and you have to place x just to pay him back and get $0 for yourself you are going to play the game differently due to that fact. For you now the bubble is moved up a little further because at the bubble you aren't making money yet. This might make you play better, might make you play worse I don't know, but its going to make you play differently.
I don't think giving a staker previous stakeback is going to help you get more stakes, you still need to win. Just play a bunch of stakes, play your game, make some stakers some $ and you'll get staked.
to me this just looks like a newbie trying to get some more looks from stakers, which you can't blaim him for

hrmmm.... yeah.... pkr4tuition maybe you should check background before u go around calling everyone newbies. My stats are pretty solid. This is a post that will probably bring a lot of people around to this way of thinking on this site, the cake pledge is in monster effect at psstaes. You are right its hard to get started in the staking community here but I would say that's not because I'm a newbie but because ppl like you who are respected in the community see a person like me that hasn't played a lot of stakes and goes around yelling newbie. Well my overall sharkscope stats are indicative of a solid player. My 180 sng stats are indicative of a legend. And sng's aren't even my bread and butter, I was a 1/2 NL player once upon a time covering rent and food expenses during school but am low on the BR after cashing outs and problems putting new money on. So next time you go around crying newbie... I'd appreciate it if you'd do your research.
