haha. Thanks for the offer but I go deep in those frequently and they take about 4-5 hours to finish and i dont have the time for that right now. I'll run any 9 player tables if you want or just run the 4.40 another time.

Series stakes versus 1-off events give a statistically successful horse more chances to win on your behalf.

Takes awhile you'll eventually come across a winner to cover the previous given stakes and yeah offer a series more chance and of course a decent horse with stats to back!!
Stick with it.

yeah, these guys are right. Stay away from the 1 tourney stakes, there is too much variance to have success in one tourney. Also there is more variance in the bigger tourneys so I would stay away from MTT's till you get your roll up a little or have seen success otu of someone.
Do yoru research, find someone who has a good 20%+ roi over the long haul in sng tourneys, and do a series of at least 5 of whatever you can afford. Staying away from turbo series also erases variance and fluctuation. So I would go with 1.20 tourneys like 5+, or a 5+ series of 5.50 sngs.
Also don't just look at the staker points, I suggest going to sharskscope.com and checking roi's of people. 20% plus is pretty solid. In series, you can also do modificiations where you say like "start with 5 tourney series, and then run it to 10 tourneys with the bankroll you build."
Good luck, stick with series, sng, and something you can afford to spot 5-10 buy ins for.

btw, over a big sample size of sngs, 20% is VERY good, you'd be hard pressed to find many with that much--- id suggest looking for 10-15+%

I have been trying to figure out a way to make stakes profitable.. i got lucky and got cradshark one night and he got 4th or 5th in a 15k guaranteed... but since then i have been looking to find more strong players in the NB ranks. My newest idea has been to run 6 people in a 3.3 when i will be playing also, so i can kinda rail it as it goes on.. Add a contest for last longer for the 15k guaranteed the next night. I have also added a contest for Final Tables.. which is a week of 15k guaranteed. Now if the horse manages to money the 15k guaranteed from the last longer, i will make a private tourney heeb for that player accordingly. I got lucky and the 1st stake i did like this a few nights ago worked out and my horse moneyed the 15k so i am now staking him in micro tourneys with a $50 dollar roll for 2 weeks or til +150. If this is successful larger stakes may occur. I am experimenting with this.. so any ideas are welcome. Just what i am trying now. GL stakers.

I tried a few series stakes with no luck, and then hit with a stake where I put three players into a 2.20 MTT, which one of the horses FT'd for a nice payback. I then staked that horse to a series of 5.50's and he again gave me a nice return.
I've also done a bunch of BAP's, which you would think would have positive EV due to the quality of the horses, but I have been completely unlucky with those so far.
It's just like sitting at a limit table. You can run bad for hours and make it all up in 15 minutes when you start connecting.
Regards -
Spike

i think once you find a profitable horse.. put some bigger stakes up for them... keep them running... and hopefully turn a profit
