Playing tight can get under myskin... First hand some guy bet big with pocket 7's while I was holding 34h in the BB. I laid it down. next 34o flop comes 347.. ugh... 3rd hand K3o on the button... would have made a straight... have to shake this off because the next hand I was dealt pocket 10's and took the big stack down to starting size!

Thought I'd test my image a bit... came in relatively cheap in the BB and tried to take down the pot... didn't work... had to lay it down. Tight is right!

I would have had the best hand but didn't hit the flop hard enough. Tight for a bit more and suck it up. It will pay off in the end.

2 over cards to the board and big bets... not sure about this player... might have laid the best hand down? I should have come off on the flop.

I didn't get good value... had such a poor kicker I tried to take it down quick.

This was a bad move but I felt I need to make a move... was 4 flushed on the flop with the second nut flush. Had an over card to the board, long shot straight possibility. Totally misread the opponent. I'm in the BB next and not even enough to cover it.... I need a miracle!

Last hand was all in on the big blind. Had hope when I was dealt A5s. There was no action all along the way but I wound up being beat by AT with a pair of T's.

I finished 28 out of 45. Not how I wanted to start things off

I need to re-evaluate things before I jump in the next one. If anyone has any comments... please feel free.

My evaluation... I didn't have too many opportunities to get into the pot cheap when I was in late position. Players would open up the pot with hands I wouldn't even call with in that position. I should have played even tighter until I got a better read of the players. The one obvious player I was able to hit back at and take down a big pot. Of course he got knocked off soon after.

That flush draw really screwed me. Pot odds were better than 2:1 and I was about 3:1 to make the flush. I totally misread the guy. His stack was as low as mine and I thought he might be making a move with 2 over cards to try and take down the pot. I don't know if anyone could fault me for making the call but I shouldn't have played KXs so strong out of position with the amount of chips I had. I feel that was my mistake. With such a large field I should have played even tighter in the beginning. That's usually enough to get me to the final table.

Like they say... sometimes you win... sometimes you learn. I'm going to go over this a few times and work on a few things before I hit the next one.... try and shake off this loss.

Please, any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Ok second one starting off to a good start... First hand a nice big pocket pair. Was holding my breath!

I'm going to be posting mostly after the tournament... As I want to concentrate as much as possible since I didn't do so well on the first one for ChicagoAPA.

That last one scared me a bit. I thought he might have a strong Ace since he called such a big pre flop raise or maybe even AA. Was concerned about a wheel draw. But I had him easily covered and coudn't give up the coboys.!

I normally wouldn't call this hand but I was in the SB and there was only one other person in the hand besides the big blind. More importantly I folded the last hand to this guy. Was happy to get my money back and take him out! That's 3 so far... this is a much better start.

Kings have been good and from middle position I didn't want to hurt their feelings This was an opportunity to take another player out but with a pair on the board and not knowing where the A was, I wanted to play it safe. Luckily the other player had a Q high flush. A more aggressive player might have gotten more value.

An unimpressive split.. but I'm finding out this guy will play any ace.

Checked the BB and made a full house on the turn. Someone bluffed at the pot on the flop. I should have let him try and bluff at it again instead of trying to force him all in.

Ok.. good sign... small pot but at least some of the players at the current table have picked up that I play tight and are showing some respect.

Up and down.. holding about steady but should be making more progress...

Had this one hand.. pocket sixes in a big pot... missed the flop but could have made runner runner straight or hit the six.. One guy went all in, like he did for the last three flops... Probably with just ace high. I really wanted to call him and take him out but doing well and don't want to mess things up.

So far I'm only posting hands that I've had to show down and keeping my strategy to myself.. Just in case I've developed a huge fan base that happens to be at the table .

A nice little bump up. Scare card came on the river but I got some value out of it. New people at this table.
