I'm looking for good players that I can trust. Follow these simple rules and you will be in good shape. Of course, feel free to hit me up at any time when running a stake.
If you have DNS, it's most likely that I will not be staking you unless you have proven yourself trustworthy over a long period of time.
If you qualify for a stake, feel free to apply or ask any questions in the MAD thread. Please don't PM me - it won't help your cause and may lead to beggar gear.
Keeping a Good Rail
I prefer a simple rail. The top post should include the current bankroll and a list of tournaments with ID and Description (Fifty-Fifty, $32K, etc), Place/Entrants, and Winnings.
Here is a
Sample of the type of rail I'm looking for.
Unless I specifically ask for them, bust and swing hands are not required. If you do post them, make sure the rail is as clean as possible.
I expect all tournaments to be entered in the rail when you start them and for results (and updated bankroll) to be entered into the rail in a timely fashion (no later than 30 minutes after completion of a session).
Running a Stake
Only tournaments listed in the stake ad or agreed upon by me are eligible for the stake. If you list a non-approved tournament in the rail, it will not count against the bankroll (although you are more than welcome to count it as a bonus for the stake).
For MTT stakes, only NLHE GTDs are to be played unless agreed upon otherwise. HU and Shootout MTTs are not included. If you are unsure about a specific tournament, please ask me before including it.
You cannot be hidden from search when running a stake and you must make your stats available on OPR and Sharkscope.
When you enter a tournament, that buy-in is taken from the bankroll. For example, you start a session with a bankroll of $300 and begin 2 $26 tournaments, the bankroll is now at $248 and you can no longer play tournaments that require a BR of $250.
If you are going to be off-line and/or unavailable to play for more than a couple days, please let me know.
I want players who can control their emotions at the table and not tilt. Bad beats happen to everyone, and I really don't want to see PMs or Rail posts complaining about them (OK, a small occasional vent in the rail is OK)
I expect excellent communication from my players. Please respond to PMs as quickly as possible and keep the rail up to date.
I reserve the right to get hand histories, screenshots, or sit at a cash table to verify that all information is correct.
If you are running deep in a tournament, send me a message and let me know.
Ending a Stake
I reserve the right to end a stake at any time and all money must be shipped back immediately.
If you are in makeup, I reserve the right to stake you to the same tournaments of our last stake. Please contact me first before accepting another deal for these tournaments if you owe cake.
Cake
Unless stated otherwise, cake is required on all my stakes. Cake can be sold/transferred to another member of PTP (you will be notified by PM if cake is transfered to a 3rd party). Contact me if you're looking to buy back your cake.
I understand there is a lot of variance in online poker, so if you end up losing or busting a stake, it doesn’t mean I will never stake you again. If you keep a bad rail, don't respond quickly to PMs, or are deceptive with the stake, then I won’t be staking you in the future.
Summary
I treat my PTP investments as a business and expect for you to treat my money with respect and play to the best of your ability. I will make myself as available as possible, so please let me know by PM if you have any questions while running a stake. Thanks and Good Luck at the Tables!
