I like the check-fold.
When he calls pre it is with a hand hes not folding very often postflop.

I think that if your read on this player is that if he calls your three-bet he'll shove any flop then I don't think three-betting here is the right play. If he had frequently folded to three bets its fine but if he had shown a tendency to call you're putting yourself in this awkward spot postflop. Given that you're suited you're probably continuing on about 40% of flops and check/folding the other 60% of the time, which isn't a good ratio.

Had you seen him shove flops after calling three-bets before, and that's why you assume it's his plan? There are a ton of players who will call in his spot (probably incorrectly given his stack size) with small to medium pairs and then fold that flop, imho.

three-betting preflop is just the right play, AK just plays to bad oop. I like your line when you sometimes check here too with AQ,AA,KK,QQ .

I would almost bet that he three outed the flop. It's not like he's worried about getting you off a draw there.
