Was this really stupid
Okay, I know there's no way I can see the BB holding AA, but from the position I was in when the guy raised to 600, I put him on big cards, and I was looking to steal...was that really really stupid...just wondering. Come to find out I was 3rd preflop in that hand, but I'm just wondering about the play in general...Hindsight shows I was curshed, but just wondering what others think:

It's fine if he'd been LAG and stealing alot, otherwise generally it's a fold.

He was playing fairly laggy in a lot of hands, but well, and he had raised from that position pretty frequently...but, in retrospect I'm generally gonna be 55/45 at best cause he's obviously gonna have overs. So, if the steal doesn't work, I'm not in all that good a shape right? So, in general fold might be good...but was just tired of him raising from that position and folding and I figured I had a chance he didn't like his hand.
:-(
But, little did I know my 44 was behind QQ and AA...lol

I think you're basically calling allin with your fours here, because he only had 2100 and raised 600, and a decent player wouldn't raise/fold there ever. Wait for a better spot.

Even if he's been laggy, I don't like it. He has to call 1595 into 2995 (math?). That's a little less than 2-1. If I'm getting 2-1 in a hand I opened (assuming HU), I call pretty much anything I'm willing to raise. I don't think we have much FE w/ him getting 1.8-1 (or whatever it is) if he is loose. If he has shown a tendency to raise/fold, I think this is kinda ok.

oh, I thought you had 2.6k, misread it.
Since you have no Fe, def. fold.
If you had FE then it would be alot closer.

I'm on the fold bandwagon as well.
