Yeah he's a very aggressive but good player and I feel pretty certain he would barrel the turn if he picked up a flush draw since your hand looks like a flush draw to him. And then when the backdoor flush gets there he's unlikely to be betting sets or two pairs for value, meaning he's got total air here the vast majority of the time.

stack looks perfect to c/r the turn here, while leading gives us a tough tough river spot if we are called. Was that the plan?

River I don't think he's hit kings up here or three kings, most of the time I think he either b/d a flush or you win. Some players tend to fire when picking up a fd with a pair here as nate suggested, others think if you called with a nine then the 7 helps you often and don't want to be taken off their equity or forced all in so might check behind. IDK I probably call like 60% of the time here with the limited info of what you and dacus said about him.

I think by not leading the turn you lose out on a lot of value on the river and actually makes the hand much harder to play. If he floats you know he either has a str8, and hand similar to yours or a fd. Maybe a set, but unlikely. In any event it really narrows his hand range since he could be betting the flop with anything.

As played you pretty much have to either give up the river since you're beat very easily, or it will be very hard to get value out of your hand if you improve since the board would be very well coordinated at that point.

Like dacus said, this is a really passive way to play the hand and I think you almost forced him to bet the river.

I'm not particularly good at plo, but trying to improve in general in mixed, so gonna try and post in mixed games strat more.

I had the same reaction as brad, what are our thoughts on donk leading the turn since villain is aggro and we has top two and a marginal redraw?

Otherwise, loved Nate/Zen's posts.

Reason we dont have to lead turn is it makes the pot really hard to play on river with spr

At the time I said to Jon that we had to range him on air a lot, because he doesnt try to vb any two pairs and prob not any sets. So it's a air or flush spot, and he cant have too many flushes with turn, but at the point I didnt know exactly how aggro he was/ and I missed the first half of the hand play out.
