Mayb its standard but I NEVER make this play. I usually just muck which is so weak and I hate it but usually cant see how else to play it. Im raisin for value here I expect to be called by ace high or a flush draw. Did I jus patch a leak or make one?

Those situations give me a hard time too. Early in an SNG I muck here a lot. But I am a nit myself.

Any reads on villain? The K seems like an odd card for him to have hit. AK would have a hard time to call your bet almost the size of the pot on the flop. I see him having something like 66-99 here fairly often.

To be honest I am not sure. This is very much depends on your read. Mucking here everytime seems wrong to me. But calling here everytime seems just as wrong. But villain's slight overbet on the turn looks like a hand that doesnt really want a call. If he was slowplaying a T on the flop it doesnt make sense. sice the K was such a nothing card in that case. So he is not really in a spot where he has to cut out any extra draws. A third spade would have been a completely different case here.

Ok having said that I think I like your play here, but those spots put me through hell as well.

^^ Ok, good to hear!!! sorry, forgot to say no reads at all, 3rd hand or so... I just figured he wouldn push a ten that hard and a king was a very mayb possibly card so poooosh... He actually folded and left himself 500ish
