40 bet flop bet turn big like 150 then bet river like 300ish

i check flop, bet 40 on the turn Ace high will prob call, then value bet the river

Ya def check the flop, bet turn. Turn is awful but it will look like a steal if you bet

y not lead out on the flop like 30-50? lol i mean theres no way nobody is gonna beat you and what better way of telling ppl you dont have an 8 when you lead out? if some 1 calls or maybe even raises you just flat call?

Reason I checked is because I don't know what hand can call me. If it was J88, I almost definitely bet though.

exactly its most likely no one got any piece of that flop, which is why you slow play so that maybe the turn will be a face or ace so you can get some action, i think leading out on that flop is a horrible play

If you had 82 Id lead out on the flop but when you flop the absolute nuts you obv gotta check and hope for a money card on the turn.

i bet out smallish with the nuts usually. gets people floating looking for a great turn card.

harrington says you should be more inclined to slowplay the near nuts then the absolute nuts although the reason eludes me...just food for thought

Im thinking that the flop check is pretty much mandatory. Hero has the deck crippled and we need to let someone hopefully catch something that will drive some action from them.
I prob bet the turn, if they all fold we were probably making nothing on this hand anyways. I don't think a turn check is bad either as it allows villians another chance to hit something that will get some action going.
